Living Reef

Daydream Island attractions; the Living Reef
One of the most popular attractions on Daydream Island is it’s unique Living Reef: a man-made lagoon that supports actual living coral reef and a wide range of different species of fish, including sharks, stingrays and more.

Fish feeding sessions are held every day, where visitors can get to actually feed the fish themselves, and learn more about them and their surroundings at the same time.

The Living Reef is popular with visitors of all ages, but of course children particularly love to see the underwater life up close. It is even possible to handle some of the fish – but don’t worry: it is perfectly safe and does not harm the fish in any way at all.

There is an admission fee to visit the Living reef, although children under the age of three are admitted free of charge in the company of a paying adult. There is also a Family Pass that admits two adults and two children at a discounted rate.

Bookings need to be made in advance as there is a limit on the amount of places available on each tour: you can book, and get further information at the Activities Desk.
