Although many visitors choose to visit Daydream Island to enjoy it’s wonderfully relaxing atmosphere, there are still plenty of fun activities for all ages to enjoy on and off the island.
Sports and Games
Work up a sweat with a game of beach volleyball, tennis or water polo. There is a gym if you feel like a workout, or you could play some bocce or a game of giant chess. A selection of board games are available, and there is also a regular scheduled Scavenger Hunt.
Water Based Sports
You can hire your own jet ski – you don’t need a license – and explore the area your self or as part of a guided tour. Thrill seekers might like to try some Parasailing (up to a height of almost 100 metres) or maybe some waterskiing – all equipment is supplied.
Boating adventures
Hire a boat or kayak and get to see some of the more secluded parts of Daydream Island and surrounding areas – enjoy a picnic in seclusion! Or take the Reef Explorer Tour in the resort’s semi-submersible vessel and witness some of the coral and aquatic life at Sunlover Reef. The Glass Bottom Fishing Tinny is another fun way to see some underwater sea-life.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling lessons are available to beginners, and are a good way to learn how to safely use the mask and snorkel. If you are already confident with your ability, you can take the Snorkel Safari Guided Tour where you can see some of amazing fish found at the reef.
Scuba Diving
If you have never dived before you can try the Beginners’ Scuba Experience, where you will receive training at the pool and in the ocean. If you are already a certified diver there are a good range of guided dives to be had around Daydream Island and also further afield.
This is just a selection of the activities available to you as a guest of Daydream Island: many more including ocean rafting, fishing tours and helicopter rides can be arranged.
